This fabulous wine by Manincor is produced with 100% Pinot Noir grapes, cultivated in Mazzon, in our local dialect “Mason”, in order not to confuse it with the city with the same name near Egna; Here the position is unique, 4 hectares are completely dedicated to Pinot Noir. The elevation of the hills swings between 400-450 meters above the sea level, with south exposition. The soil is characterized by sands and minerals. The grapes coming from the different sections of the vineyards are treated separately. The spontaneous fermentation is managed in wood. The maceration process lasts 2 weeks and it is followed by 12 months aging on lees in barriques (10% new). After the aging, only wine of the best barriques is selected for the assembly.
Features of the Pinot Nero "Mason"
The organoleptic exam shows a deep ruby red colour. Its perfume recalls raspberry, red blueberry, rose petals, liquorice and fresh spices. The fruity scent is accompanied by a long persistence.
