This traditional wine of Lombardy comes from the area of Oltrepò Pavese. It is a blend composed by 45% Barbera, 45% Croatina, 5% Uva Rara and 5% Vespolina. All the grapes are cultivated in Casa del Corno, the most ancient vineyard of Giorgi Winery and one of the most famous CRU of the zone. This hill, located in the district of Stradella, dominates an important part of “Pianura Padana” (the biggest plain of northern Italy). This area has always been a benchmark for the prestigious reds of Oltrepò Pavese and it contributes still today to their image. Our red is produced with care. It rests for 12 months in oak, then it is poured in little French barrels till the bottling. The aging in the bottle lasts at least one year. The result is a wine characterized by complexity, harmony and balance.

Recommended food pairings while tasting this red wine from Lombardy
Excellent with meat, cold cuts or main dishes with meat sauce, but the best marriage is with the local dishes of Lombardy. It has to be served at room temperature in a wide wine glass and reaches.
