Wine description
The Buttafuoco dell'Oltrepò Pavese DOC San Luigi is a red wine produced in Lombardia in the own property vinyards located in the oriental side of the Oltrepò of Pavia. The grapes are Barbera, Croatina, Ughetta di Canneto e Uva Rara. The refinement is in barrels for 6 months and a great importance is given to the aging in bottles.
The characteristics of the Buttafuoco dell'Oltrepò Pavese
It has an intense ruby red color with violet reflections. The scent is pleasant and equilibrated and there are some clear fruit and red berry aromas. The taste is strong, complete and harmonic with some red fruit aftertaste.
Suggestions for the Buttafuoco dell'Oltrepò Pavese
It has to be served in medium wide wine glasses at 16-18°C. It is suggested to be joint to cornmeal mush, porcino mushrooms and every kind of meat.
