This excellent “Moscato Spumante dell Oltrepò Pavese” is a fabulous sparkling wine produced by Giorgi Winery. 100% Moscato grapes cultivated in the area of Oltrepò Pavese, where the vineyards give 80 quintals per hectare. The harvest is at the beginning of September. The soft pressing process considers the elimination of stalks and 8 hours maceration. 55% free-run must is then fermented at a controlled temperature of 15°C. The fermentation is then interrupted by filtration. The foam formation process is managed in autoclave.
Features of this “Spumante di Moscato”
This traditional Italian wine is characterized by an intense straw yellow colour full of gold reflections. Its scant is wide, aromatic and delicate, with sensations of sage, peach and citrus fruits. The taste is sweet, harmonious and smooth.
Recommended food pairings while tasting this “Spumante Moscato”
It is recommended especially with sweets like biscuits or dried fruits. Unusual and classy the marriage with aged cheeses like “Pecorino Romano” and “Pecorino Sardo Smeraldo”. It has to be served at 12°C in a small, tapered wine glass that preserve its perlage.
