Braide Alte is the flagship product and the most awarded by Azienda Agricola Livon, founded in 1964 by Dorino Livoon: it is a cuvèe of Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Picolit and Moscato Giallo, cultivated on soils of marl and clay near Braide Alte, in the municipality of Dolegna del Collio, Friuli-Venezia Giulia. The grapes are harvested by hand in crates, then cold maceration for 8 hours and the must is cleaned. The fermentation takes place in barriques and for 8 months the product is left to macerate in the same containers, at a constant temperature. After that, bottling takes place and a long period of aging in bottle.
Characteristics of the Braide Alte
Braide alte is a structured, elegant and intense wine. On the organoleptic examination, it shows an intense straw yellow color with golden reflections, while the nose is full-bodied, intense, with notes of wild flowers, exotic fruit and toasting elements. The taste is warm and intense, balanced by a savory and fresh vein.
