Wine description
ULISSE Primitivo from the Abruzzo winery Tenuta Ulisse is the winery's homage to its homeland, with the Terre di Chieti PGI denomination and the use of 100% Primitivo grapes. Following the harvest, the grapes are crushed and destemmed, followed by maceration for about 15-20 days with alcoholic fermentation in steel at 24-25°C. Ageing takes place in barriques of fine French oak.
Characteristics of this Abruzzi wine
On organoleptic examination it presents a purplish red colour with ruby highlights. On the nose the bouquet is very rich and ranges from small red fruits to spices and tobacco. On the palate the tannins are soft with a finish all about vanilla, cocoa and coffee.
Suggested food pairings with this Abruzzi red wine
Try it with robust first courses, meat or game dishes. Serve at a temperature of 18-20°C.
