Schioppettino "Picotis" di Livon was born in the vineyards of Picotis, in the Municipality of San Giovanni al Natisone in Friuli-Venezia Giulia. The vine used is 100% Schioppettino, cultivated on clay soils. The harvest is done exclusively by hand in boxes, with soft destemming and subsequent fermentation in contact with the skins for 18 days. The wine ages for another 13 months in barrique and finally it is bottled and aged for a long period in bottle.
Characteristics of Schioppettino Picotis
This red wine from Friuli has a ruby red color with hints of violet. On the nose there are typical hints of blackberry, blueberry and raspberry. It 'a persistent wine tannic and structured.
