The grape variety is that of Sauvignon Blanc, one of the oldest French grape varieties, spread to South Tyrol over 100 years ago. The origin for these vines lies in the area of the eastern and western slopes along the Val d'Adige. Cold maceration for 12 hours for the vinification. Alcoholic fermentation at controlled temperature in stainless steel wine tanks. Maturation on the lees follows for about 5 months in stainless steel wine tanks and large wooden barrels.
Sauvignon Blanc Graf DOC ‘s features
A greenish yellow colour. The scent is that of a broad bouquet, where nuances of vanilla, aromatic herbs, elderberry and gooseberry can be recognized. The taste on the palate is full-bodied, harmonious, elegant, fresh and acidulous, with a persistent aftertaste.
Suggested food pairings while tasting Sauvignon Doc Meran
Excellent with asparagus, grilled vegetables, fish and goat cheese. The optimal serving temperature is 10°C.
