Wine description

The Bardolino Chiaretto of the Zenato winery from Veneto, is obtained from grapes coming from the area that overlooks the south-eastern coast of Lake Garda, between Bardolino and Peschiera; the rosé color is reached by the partial contact with the skin of red grapes Corvina, Rondinella, Molinara. The blend includes different percentages of three vines: for 65% Corvina, for 25% for Rondinella and for 10% for Molinara. The exact geographical location is located between Bardolino and Peschiera; Pedecollinare area to the south-east of Lake Garda, with exposure of the land to the South, South-East. The average altitude of the land is between 100 and 150 meters above sea level. The type of land is mainly morainic, with a consistent skeleton and presence of silt. The farming system as per the company tradition is a pergola and guyot. With grapes of about 30 years and able to develop a yield of 110 quintals per hectare of vine. After the harvest that takes place between the end of September and the beginning of October, we proceed with the vinification. The claret wine is obtained from a "rose" vinification of the grapes. The grapes harvested, after being destemmed, are left in maceration for a few hours and then crushed with soft pressing. It follows a fermentation in steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 18 ° C.
