Sigle variety wine making with 100% Schiava grapes. The plants are cultivated on soils rich of limestone, in a zone touched by the Mediterranean climate that, with warm days and fresh nights, give to the fruits their perfect habitat. 6 days maceration in contact with skins, followed by a slow fermentation in steel at controlled temperature. The aging is managed in steel, while the maturation is developed in oak barrels.
Features of the “Schiava Alto Adige DOC”
The aspect shows a light ruvy red colour. Its perfume recalls violet, almond, wild strawberry and cherry. The taste is fresh and it is characterized by soft tannins.
Recommended food pairings while tasting this red wine by Elena Walch
An interesting solution with Mediterranean main dishes or starters. We suggest to serve it fresh, at a temperature that swings between 14 and 16°C in a wide wine glass that allows oxygenation and concentrates the perfumes. The alcoholic strength is 13% Vol.
