Wine description
Barbera DOC is one of the most consumed red wine in Northern Italy. Barbera DOC by Cantina Monterucco has a strong cherry bouquet with a subtle plum sensation.
Characteristics of Barbera Oltrepo Pavese
It displays a red ruby colour and a young hue. In the mouth this wine donates plenty of flavours harmonized by the wine structure, which is able to agree a range of sensations (raspberry, licorice) with a slightly smoked aftertaste.
Recommended pairings while tasting this red wine
It should be served at a temperature of 18-20°C. Some minutes of decantation are enough to bring out its qualities. It can be paired with main courses, grilled or stewed red meat and charcuterie.
