Born from the vinification of 100% pure Barbera d’Alba grapes, produced following the traditional method by the Cesare Pio winery. The origin of the vines falls within the territory of Treiso. Harvest is immediately followed by the vinification which takes place in steel. Maceration on the skins for about 20-25 days. Aging takes place in French oak barrels for 12 months and in barriques for a small part.
Barbera d’Alba DOC Pio Cesare’s features
An intense ruby red color. The bouquet on the nose, is broad and intense and pleasantly fruity, expressed with hints of small red fruits, notes of undergrowth and spice. The taste on the palate is juicy, full, structured and persistent.
