Mandrarossa is the clear and authentic expression of Sicily in a new and different version. The Zibibbo is a Sicilian wine characterized by a remarkable aroma and it is cultivated on calcareous soils in warm and dry weathers. This dry version has remarkable terroir, citrons, orange flowers and jasmine aromas. It is honored by the IGT Terre siciliane version and the terroir is located at south at 100-400 meters above the sea level. The density is 4300-4700 trees per hectare all cultivated with the trellised and guyot method. The grape harvest takes place in the second half of September, and it takes place the cryomaceration at 5-8°C for 4-6 hours. The must ferments for 30 days in steel tanks at 12°C. The maturation lasts 3 months on yeasts. Finally, there is the bottle aging for 3 months.
Characteristics of the Zibibbo wine by Mandrarossa
It has a light straw yellow color with intense aromas of orange blossom, citron and white peach aromas. The taste is fresh and balanced with a good persistence.
