Wine description
From the careful selection of pure Schioppettino grapes comes this Friulian white wine from Zorzettig Winery. The vines are located near the Colli Orientali del Friuli DOC area. After harvesting, they are pressed and destemmed and then undergo vinification in steel at a controlled temperature. This is followed by ageing, again in steel but also for a small part in barriques, and final bottling.
Characteristics of this Friulian wine
To the eye it presents itself with a red colour with deeper nuances. The olfactory bouquet is an explosion of spicy notes and balsamic hints, enhanced by toasted notes given by the ageing in wood. On the palate it is soft and assertive.
Recommended pairings with this Friuli red wine
Try it with meat dishes, game and mature cheeses. Serve at a temperature of 16-18°C.
