Wine description
The Montefalco Rosso DOC from the Colpetrone winery is produced with Sangiovese, Sagrantino and Merlot grapes. The bunches are harvested manually before being pressed; the must thus obtained then undergoes fermentation with maceration at a controlled temperature of 24-28°C. The refinement takes place in the bottle.
Characteristics of this Umbrian wine
On the organoleptic examination this Umbrian wine shows a deep ruby red color, with hints of red fruits and a slight spiciness on the finish. On the palate it is medium-bodied, with fresh tannins and a fresh and persistent finish.
Suggested food pairings while tasting this red wine
This Umbrian red wine goes perfectly with meat-based first courses, roasts and mushroom-based dishes. To be served at a temperature of 16-18°C in a not very large glass.
