A wine of the prestigious “Il Pumo” line of the San Marzano winery, and it has a the DOP certification. It is made by a blend of 85% Negroamaro grapes and 15% of Malvasia Nera di Brindisi. The grape harvest takes place at the half of September and it follows the thermos-controlled maceration for 10 days and the alcoholic fermentation with selected yeasts. The refinement takes place in stainless steel. This wine can be aged up to 5 years without modifying the organoleptic characteristics.
Characteristics of the Salice Salentino Il Pumo
It has a bright ruby red color with garnet reflections. The smell is intense with cherry and prune aromas, and it is also spicy with Mediterranean herbs. The taste is strong and fresh at the end. Easy to drink.
