Perricone "Guarnaccio" Sicilia DOC Tasca d'Almerita

Grape has existed in Regaleali estate since 1954, in the historical vineyard called San Lucio. The selection allowed the extension of the vineyard. The family believed in Perricone variety, known as “Guarnaccio in Tenuta”. The respect for the tradition and for the history of Sicily convinced them to preserve these grapes, really diffused in the region. This wine has a dynamic character that sometimes becomes strong. It is rich of polyphenols and spices. 100% Perricone grapes, cultivated in Regaleali, in the district of Palermo, in the heart of Sicily. The vineyards are located in Ciminnita and cover a surface of 2,6 hectares. The fermentation is managed in steel containers with a maceration of 13 days. The malolactic fermentation is followed by12 months aging in used barriques.

Perfect with cold cuts, medium aged cheese, roasted or grilled meats. It has to be served at 20°C in a high, wide wine glass and reaches an alcoholic strength of 15% Vol.
