Chianti Colli Senesi DOCG, by Vecchia Cantina di Montepulciano winery, is an excellent red wine, perfect to be paired with a multitude of typical Italian dishes from the land. It’s made from Sangiovese grapes. Bunches are harvested and selected, then fermentation occurs for 12 days at a temperature of 28-30° C. After fermentation, wine is refined for 7 months in oak barrels in the underground cellars of Vecchia Cantina di Montepulciano. Then, after bottling, wine will age for 5 months in cellar, at a controlled temperature.
Characteristics of Chianti Colli Senesi wine
It presents an intense red colour with violet reflections. Long and dry in taste. Bouquet conveys pleasant fruit notes and red berry scent.
Recommended pairings while tasting this Tuscany wine
It should be served in a wide crystal glass at a temperature of 16-18°C. Some minutes of decantation are enough to bring out its qualities. It can be paired with aged cheeses, charcuterie, grilled meat and dry main courses.
