The history of Etna is surrounded by a lot of eruptions that have given its typical shape. An important one happened in 1614 and last 10 years. It was the longest ever and it ended just at the border of the vineyard Sciaranuova, that is an important Cru where Nerello Mascalese is cultivated. Its black lands give to this wine a unique, classy and balanced style. The blend is composed by 91% Nerello Mascalese and 9%Nerello Cappuccio. Once harvested and put in boxes, the bunches are taken to the cellar and refrigerated at 10°C. The soft pressing starts after a careful selection of the grapes. Then, the fermentation is managed in inox at 25°C. After 21 days maceration on skins, the wine ages in oak barrels for 12 months.

The aspect shows a shiny and clear ruby red colour. Its perfume recalls red fruits, rose, oriental spices and bee wax. The typical tannins that characterize Nerello Mascalese are well balanced by the aging in wood. Fresh and enchanting approach, full of elegance.
