Collio Bianco "Solarco" of Azienda Agricola Livon was born in the vineyards of the DOC of Collio, in the Municipality of Dolegna del Collio in Friuli-Venezia Giulia. The vines used are Friulano and Ribolla Gialla, cultivated on soils from marl and clay. After harvesting by hand in crates, with cold maceration for 8 hours, a decantation is carried out to clean the must. Fermentation takes place in barriques for 20% and in steel tanks for the remaining 80%: the product remains to mature for 6 months in the same containers. At the end of this period the wine is then blended and bottled to finish aging in glass.
Features of Collio Bianco Solarco
On organoleptic examination it is a wine of bright straw yellow color with greenish reflections; to the nose it is fruity with hints of citrus, exotic fruit and light notes of vanilla resulting from the light passage in wood. In the mouth it is soft, fine and endowed with great freshness and sapidity.
