The Chianti Classico BIO from Badia a Coltibuono comes from the vinification of Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Colorino and Ciliegiolo grapes, harvested in the vineyards of the Stucchi family and located in the Sienese part of Chianti Classico. After the harvest with mixed techniques, followed by fermentation with indigenous yeasts and maceration for 3 weeks. The aging instead requires 12 months in French and Austrian oak barrels and finally a short aging in the bottle.
Chianti Classico DOCG BIO's features
The color is ruby, intense and lively. On the nose you can recognize the typical floral hints of violet, marasca cherry and tobacco. The palate is dry, with well balanced acidity and tannins; it has a proper minerality with notes of leather and coffee.
