The Fontodi wine is honored by the Chianti Classico DOCG denomination. It is produced with 100% Sangiovese grapes. This wine is the main product of the Fontodi winery. The density of the trees is 6000 per hectare and the cultivation method is the Guyot. There is a spontaneous fermentation with the yeasts and it follows the maceration in stainless steel tanks under temperature control for 2 weeks. It follows the maturation in barrels of Troncais and Allier for 18 months. This sensational wine is more than the half of the Chianti production of the Fontodi winery. It is the son of the biologic cultivation but it is the reflex of the company philosophy based on the quality and the nature.
