Chianti Classico DOCG “Ama” was produced for the first time in the harvest 2010 and it is obtained with grapes coming from new clones of Sangiovese. Its fermentation is started from natural yeasts and the aging in barriques lasts at least for 12 months. This wine is composed by 96% local grapes and 4% Merlot, in order to give complexity and make softer the strong tannins that are typical of Chianti.
Features of the red wine “Chianti Classico DOCG”
Intense ruby red colour. The scent is refined, with hints of mature wild fruits joined to spicy shades. Its taste is harmonious, fresh and balanced, with a long-lasting persistence that recalls the scents.
