This Apulian red wine is a tribute to the city of Leverano, "Liranu" in the local dialect, where the Zecca family moved in 1500. For its production 100% Negroamaro grapes are used, grown on soils of alluvial origin with the presence of limestone. The manual harvest is followed by de-stemming and soft pressing with maceration for 8-10 days at a controlled temperature. The fermentation phase requires the permanence in steel tanks while the maturation takes place in oak barrels and subsequently in steel tanks coated with food resins.
Characteristics of this Apulian wine
The organoleptic test shows a ruby red color with garnet reflections; the olfactory notes are reminiscent of red fruits and spices while the ripening of the tannins is striking on the palate, as well as the body and harmony.
