Chianti Colli Senesi DOCG FATTORIA DEL CERRO

This Chianti Colli Senesi of the Fattoria del Cerro is mainly produced with Sangiovese grapes to which a small percentage of Merlot grapes is added in order to make it fuller and softer. Immediately after the harvest, the wine begins to ferment in steel at a controlled temperature of 24-26°C, carrying out daily pumping over. Then it continues with the refinement in contact with the skins for a duration of at least 4 months. The wine is then transferred to barrique for 3 months before being bottled.

Characteristics of this Tuscan wine

On the organoleptic examination this Tuscan wine shows a ruby red color, floral aromas and small red fruits with a spicy finish. It is a fresh and crunchy wine with well balanced tannins.

This Tuscan red wine goes perfectly with traditional Tuscan foods such as first courses based on sauces, grilled meats and roasts. To be served at a temperature of 16-18°C in a not very large glass.
