Wine list | Roero Arneis |
It is produced by Sordo around the district of Vezza d’Alba, with 100% Arneis grapes. The vineyards have a south, south-east exposition and are located on lands mainly composed by sands and clay. Their elevation swings between 230 and 260 meters above the sea level. The plants, that are 10 years old, are trained on espaliers with the traditional Guyot method and reach 4400 units per hectare, that means around 80 quintals. In the first phase of the wine making, grapes and pomaces are separated through soft pressing. Then, the must is vinified in steel containers at controlled temperature. 3 months maturation on lees, in steel, are followed by other three months aging in the bottle.
