The Vin Santo del Chianti Classico DOC of the Marchese Antinori winery is produced by the most renowned Tuscany winery. It is made by Trebbiano Toscano and a part of Malvasia grapes. The vines are in the Chianti Classico area and the grapes manually picked are put on the wither place of the Tignanello estate and they rest there up to December. After this period the grapes are softly pressed and put in the typical kegs of different woods of 50-200 liters. Here it takes place the long and slow alcoholic fermentation. It stays for 3 years and lately it is blended and bottled.
Characteristics of the Vin Santo del Chianti Cassico "Marchese Antinori"
It has a dark amber color with golden reflections. The smell is sweet of dry fruits, hazelnuts, chestnuts and honey together with citron hints. The taste is full, with a honey aroma and a pleasant freshness.

This wine is perfect with the Tuscany Cantucci. It is also good with medium aged cheeses, blue cheeses and fois-gras. It is perfect with dry cakes, bakery and apple pies. It must be served at room temperature and it has a proof of 16%.
