The Collio Ribolla Gialla of the Friulian Russiz Superiore winery derives its origin from 100% Ribolla Gialla grapes grown in the Capriva del Friuli and Russiz Superiore vineyards, near Gorizia. The vines grow on calcareous soils with the presence of sand. The manual harvest leads to the late harvest of the bunches which are macerated at a controlled temperature for a whole day. The pressing and fermentation phases in steel follow, after which only 20% of the product obtained will be transferred to Slavonian oak barrels.
Characteristics of this Friulian wine
Organoleptic examination shows a straw yellow color and an olfactory profile reminiscent of tropical fruit, wood and smoky notes. On the palate it is fresh with a slightly savory vein and a good balance.
Recommended pairings with this white wine from Friuli
Particularly suitable with aperitifs, cured meats and cheeses, fish-based dishes or white meats. Serve at a temperature of 8-10°C.
