Rosso Valtellina "Silver Edition SEDUZIONE" DOC Plozza

The Plozza winery which represents the innovation in the Valtellina produces this Rosso di Valtellina, Silver Edition “Seduzione” made by Nebbiolo grapes: a very long-living and bodied red wine. The grape harvest takes place two weeks later than the normal time. It takes place the alcoholic fermentation and it follows the malolactic fermentation in barrels. The Nebbiolo born on the rocky terraces of the superior Valtellina. This wine is produced only during the best years. The maturation of this wine occurs in French new allier barrels which are medium toasted and it lasts 12 months. It follows a further maturation in chestnut barrels. Finally, it takes place the bottling and the wine rests for 10 months in fresh and dark cellars and finally it is commercialized.

Characteristics of this Rosso Valtellina "Silver Edition SEDUZIONE" DOC

This wine has an intense ruby red color quite penetrating. The smell is delicate with a chestnut bouquet with a light chocolate hint. The taste is decided, harmonic with the right acid tannic.

The Silver Edition of the Plozza winery is suitable for red meats, game and aged cheeses. It needs a decanting time of 2 hours. It must be served at 20°C.
