Cabernet Sauvignon RISERVA "CAMPANER" DOC CALDARO - KELLEREI KALTERN

The type of grapes used for its vinification is a blend consisting of Cabernet Sauvignon for 85% and 15% Merlot grapes. The vineyards are between 10 and 25 years old and manage to develop a yield of at least 60 hectoliters for each hectare of vineyard. The vinification involves fermentation in red with 2 weeks of maceration at a controlled temperature of 28°C, then malolactic fermentation and maturation for 16 months in barrique, followed by a light filtration before bottling. The vineyard is located on a hill between 250 and 350 meters above sea level and has a southern exposure. The soil is characterized by being pebbly with a good presence of limestone and a lot of clay, it is often warm and well drained.

Upon organoleptic examination, this Trentino wine shows a very intense ruby red colour. The scent is mainly fruity, ripe with aromas of blackberries, black currant and pink pepper. The taste is full, detailed tannins, rich in fruit on the palate with an enveloping and persistent finish that warms.
