Aglianico del Vulture "IL SIGILLO" DOC CANTINE DEL NOTAIO

"Il Sigillo" by Cantine del Notaio is made from 100% Aglianico del Vulture grapes grown on the farm lands of the Vulture area, Basilicata. The manual harvest takes place between the end of November and the beginning of December when the grapes wither as a result of the cold; then it is macerated for 30 days taking advantage of an abundant maturation of tannins. The maturation takes place in natural caves of volcanic tuff in carats or tonneaux of French oak for 24 months and for other 24 months in bottle.

Aglianico del Vulture "IL SIGILLO" DOC's features

This wine shows a very luminous garnet red color. The scent is as pleasant as it is fascinating: wild fruit and jam, candied citrus fruits, chocolate, a pepper spice and much more. In the mouth the entrance is soft thanks to the residual sugar, the finish is all licorice, spices and chocolate.

It is a perfect red wine paired with red meat and game dishes, mature cheeses and important meats. The wine should be served at a temperature of 17ºC in large glasses.
