Wine description

This sensational wine from Castello di Pomino from Tuscany estate is composed of a blend that with a prevalence of Chardonnay and Pinot Bianco, with small parts of complementary varieties. A blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Bianco of great elegance and refinement comes from one of the areas of Tuscany most suited to the cultivation of white wines, at altitudes of up to 700 meters. The origin of the vines is the classic one of the Castello di Pomino estate. The aging time after the classic vinification reaches 10 months in barrique and 4 in bottle. For this wine, which ages partly in steel and partly in barrique, the malolactic fermentation is carried out only for the part fermented in barrique. After bottling, it rests for a month in the bottle.

 

Characteristics of the POMINO Bianco DOC wine

The organoleptic examination shows a very clear and straw yellow color in the glass. The aromas on the nose recall the intensity of jasmine flowers and the fruity notes of apricot and quince. Even more exotic aromas of tropical fruit and a fresh cardamom flavor are released from the glass. The attack in the mouth is savory and lively, with an aftertaste reminiscent of ripe raspberry. Harmonic structure with a decidedly persistent finish.

 

Suggested food pairings while tasting this Tuscan white wine

Excellent as an aperitif, ideal for vegetarian starters, sliced fish such as salmon. The optimal serving temperature is between 8°C and 10°C.
