From the vinification of 100% pure Pinot Noir grapes; the origin is the classic one of Cornaiano, near the Appiano area. Harvest takes place with grapes in full ripeness and vinification involves fermentation in stainless steel with maceration on the skins for 15 days, 10% whole grapes. Then follow Malolactic fermentation and maturation in French Barrique and Tonneaux for 24 months. The final refinement lasts for 12 months.
Pinot Nero Riserva Praepositus DOC Abbazia di Novacella’s features
A ruby red color with light garnet hues. Perfume expresses beautiful aromas of cherry, spice and vanilla. Taste on the palate is dry, soft, intense, pleasantly tannic, harmonious and velvety. It closes with a slightly bitter finish with excellent persistence.
