This wine is produced with 100% Falanghina grapes and it was really appreciate by the Sabellians who considered this wine one of the best within their wine tradition. The production area is Ramitello which has an altitude of 100 meters above the sea level. The soil is mostly clay. The cultivation method is the vertical-trellised and the vines are around 15 years old. The harvest takes place in the second half of September or at maximum the first decade of October. The must has to stay on the peels for about 12 hours. There is no malolactic fermentation.

The “Falanghina DOC del Molise” has a straw gold yellow color with green reflections. The perfume is fresh and pleasant with broom hints. The taste is wide and pleasant with a particular aromatic aftertaste which reminds the grapefruit.

The white wine Falanghina del Molise DOC is considered a meal wine but it is perfect with crustaceous, light starters and with Mediterranean courses with herbs and cream tastes. It has to be served at 10-12°C in high and wide wine glasses to exalt the floral aromas.
