The agricultural company Arnaldo Caprai located since decades in the Montefalco hamlet produces this sensational Montefalco rosso DOC wine. This wine is honored by the certification that guarantees the origins and denotes the quality of the Arnaldo Caprai winery. This wine is produced with local quality vines. There is a 70% of Sangiovese which represents the basis of all the local production. Then there is a 15% of Sagrantino and a 15% of Merlot to enrich the scent with its fragrances. It is used the cordon spur pruning with a density of 5000-6000 units per hectare. The profit is 90-100 quintals per hectare. During the vinification which takes place in steel tanks the particular step is the aging which occurs in Slavonia oak barrels for 12 months and also in French oak barrels. It follows the bottle refinement of 4 months.
