A sublime and refined white wine. Mono varietal of Pinot Blanc grapes. The original vineyard grows around the Barthenau estate at an altitude of 450 meters above sea level. The ideal location of this hilly vineyard, with optimal solar radiation and good aeration, ripens the bunches to perfection. Hot days and cool nights are guaranteed for the high acidity and therefore for the aging of the wine. The soil is characterized by clay conglomerate, lime, porphyry and fine gravel. The vinification, after a cold maceration of the grapes for a few hours to enhance the fruity notes of the wine, is affected by a soft pressing and relative sedimentation, the must ferments in large oak barrels. The aging, after fermentation, Barthenau Vigna S. Michele ages in an oak cask of 3,000 liters on the lees for 15 months. The fine yeasts are gently moved weekly. After bottling, the wine ages for a further 6 months in bottle.
