ENRICO SERAFINO
In 1878, led by the Piedmontese Attitude, Enrico Serafino realized his dream of becoming a wine producer. Since then and for over 140 years we have harvested Barolo, Langhe, Roero and Monferrato grapes. Even today, the Enrico Serafino is a family winery that maintains its original artisan soul, respect for future generations and the attention to detail that have distinguished it since the beginning of the business.Following the creation in 1970 of the DOC Barolo and Barbaresco, Enrico Serafino, as recognition of the role played in the history of these types of wines, is granted the "acquired historical right" to conduct the entire process of vinification and aging in their cellars of Canale, in derogation from the area provided by the denomination.Enrico Serafino joined the "Consorzio dello Spumante Metodo Classico - Progetto Alta Langa" in 1994. In the autumn of this year the first 20 hectares of experimental vineyard come into production giving life to the first harvest in the history of the denomination. In 2011 the first bottle of ZERO Alta Langa Metodo Classico was sold: the first ever Pas Dosé in the history of the denomination. The vineyards and the landscape of Barolo, Langhe, Roero and Monferrato become UNESCO World Heritage. In the same year, the Alta Langa Metodo Classico ZERO, is awarded as Best Italian Sparkling Wine by the prestigious Gambero Rosso Guide.
