Wine description
Produced with 100% Primitivo grapes grown in the Manduria vineyards, this Apulian wine owes its name to the place where Masseria Surani is located. After the manual harvest, the vinification requires about 15 days of fermentation at a controlled temperature in stainless steel. This is followed by a phase of maturation in oak barrels for about 12 months.
Characteristics of this red wine from Salento
The organoleptic test shows an intense ruby red color, with olfactory notes that recall red fruit such as plums and black cherries but also spicy notes. On the palate it is striking for its body and tannins.
Suggested food pairings while tasting this Apulian red wine
Try it with all meat-based dishes, in particular grilled, roasted and stewed; also excellent with aged cheeses. Serve at a temperature of 16-18°C.
