This fabulous 100% Pinot Grigio is able to tell the freshness of Friuli and the features of its territories. Livio Felluga winery produces this sensational wine that praises the denomination DOC. The vineyards are cultivated on lands characterized by marls and sandstones of Eocenic origin. This variety comes from a mutation of Pinot Noir and loves the typical freshness of the hills of Friuli. The techniques used by Livio Felluga give to this wine class and elegance, keeping the soft copper shades that characterize its colour. The wine-making considers the elimination of stalks and a brief period of maceration. After the soft pressing, the must is clarified through static decanting. The fermentation is managed in steel containers at controlled temperature. It is followed by 6 months aging on lees, in steel. After the bottling, the wine is stocked for two months in thermo-conditioned rooms.
Features of the white wine “Pinot Grigio”
The organoleptic aspect reveals a yellow colour with soft copper reflections. Its perfume is wide and elegant, recalling dehydrated apricot, bread crust, blackberries, white raspberry, persimmon, acacia and white fig. The taste is full, savoury and harmonious; it is characterized by complex sensations of yellow plum, jujube and papaya.
