Livio Felluga produces this sensational white. It is a blend, composed by Chardonnay and Ribolla Gialla, that praises the IGT denomination “Bianco delle Venezie”. The vineyards are trained with Guyot method on lands characterized by marls and sandstones of Eocenic origin. The cohesion of the two varieties satisfy both the local consumer and the international one, representing the connection between Friuli and the rest of the world. Regarding the technical aspect, the union of these two varieties give to the wine balance and complexity. Ribolla Gialla, for example, doesn’t have a deep aromaticity, but it is fundamental to define the texture of the wine with its freshness and its dynamism. The wine-making considers the elimination of stalks and a brief period of maceration. After the soft pressing, the must is clarified through static decanting. The fermentation is managed in steel containers at controlled temperature. It is followed by 6 months aging on lees, in steel. After the bottling, the wine is stocked for two months in thermo-conditioned rooms.
Features of the white wine “Sharis”
Its canary yellow colour with gold shades is enriched by an intense, floral perfume that recalls orange blossoms, lily of the valley, cedar, jasmine and mallow. Its taste is enchanting and dynamic, savoury and persistent. It is truly a pleasant wine.
