The Pignacolusse wine name comes from the “Pigna” and the Pignolo name which is the variety of grapes used and the name “colusse” is the name of the vineyard. It is made with 100% Pignolo grapes which is a local ancient vine. The Jermann winery in Friuli creates this wine with a decided taste, very dry and rich of tannins and sometimes it can be ruder. There is a fermentation in wood with manual pressing and it follows 18/24 months of little oak barrels refinement and it is commercialized after 3 years from the harvest.
