Wine description
This Friulian red wine from Zorzettig Winery comes from pure Pignolo grapes grown in the company's vineyards in Spessa. Following manual harvesting, the grapes are pressed, destemmed and then undergo maceration. The must thus ferments for 15 days with subsequent malolactic fermentation in barriques. This is followed by the final stage of ageing in wood.
Characteristics of this Friulian wine
It has an intense red colour. The olfactory profile is reminiscent of red fruits, spices and balsamic notes: hints of toasting are also present thanks to the ageing in wood. The palate is striking for its tannic texture and long persistence.
Recommended pairings with this Friulian red wine
Excellent with meat dishes, primarily grilled meats and game dishes. Also try it with tasty cheeses. Serve at a temperature of 16-18 C°.
