Wine description
This Abruzzo red wine from the Collefrisio Winery is made from pure Montepulciano d'Abruzzo grapes. Following manual harvesting of the bunches, the grapes are destemmed, pressed and macerated on the skins for about 20 days. The final ageing phase takes place in steel and then in wood.
Characteristics of this Abruzzi wine
It is ruby red in colour. The olfactory bouquet revolves around red fruits, black cherry and spices; on the palate it is pleasantly tannic and with good persistence.
Recommended pairings with this Abruzzi red wine
Excellent with first courses with particularly tasty sauces, main courses of meat or game. Also try it with mature cheeses. Serve at a temperature of 16-18 C°.
