Lagrein DOC GIRLAN

This wine is produced with 100% Lagrein, the most significant vine variety of Trentino vine variety. It praises the denomination Alto Adige DOC. The vineyards are cultivated on soils composed by sand, where Lagrein finds its best conditions. These local grapes grow in Valle dell’Adige and Bassa Atesina. The manual harvest is followed by the elimination of stalks and the fermentation at controlled temperature in steel containers. After the malolactic fermentation starts the aging, developed in concrete containers for at least 5 months.

The aspect shows an intense ruby red colour. The scent is wide and recalls floral hints like violet enriched by fruity sensations of plum and wild fruits. The taste is structured, balanced, a little bit sour and persistent.

A classic wine that marries meat dishes, especially grilled kitchen. It has to be served at 16°C in a ballon glass.
