Wine list | Alto Adige Doc |
This great red produced by Girlan is a blend composed by Lagrein and Merlot. It praises the denomination Alto Adige DOC. The variety is cultivated in the area of Cornaiano, on the hills of Oltradige, where the lands reach 450-500 meters elevation. The soils are mainly composed by sands and their composition contributes to the dynamic character of this Cuvée. Wine-making: The manual harvest is followed by the elimination of stalks. The fermentation is managed in steel containers and lasts 12 -15 days. After the malolactic fermentation starts the aging that lasts for 15 months in barrels made of oak of different dimensions. Other 6 months maturation in the bottle complete the wine-making process.
Features of the red wine “Lagrein”

Recommended food pairings while tasting “Lagrein Laurin” by Girlan
This fabulous wine represents a perfect marriage with meat, game and spicy cheese. Great with guinea-fowl with mushrooms. It has to be served at 16°C in a high, wide wine glass that allows the oxygenation.
