Weinbeschreibung
This fantastic wine of the Banfi winery is produced in the Castellina area where the family owns 40 hectares of Chianti Classico. There is the classic fermentation and maceration on the peels for 8-10 days. It follows the refinement with a fast passage in the barrels. The bottling takes place in the following summer from the harvest.
Characteristics of the Fonte alla Selva Chianti Classico DOCG wine
It has an intense mallow red color. The smell is rich of cherry, prune and blueberry aromas together with licorice hints. The taste is wide and mature, balanced and acid with a great persistence.
Suggested pairings with this Chianti DOCG
It is a meal wine and it is perfect with the local cooking. The service temperature is 18°C.
