The Tuscany winery Banfi represents the region worldwide. The cultivation soil is Castellina for 40 hectares in the core of the Chianti Classico. It is made with the majority of Sangiovese grapes. There is the fermentation with maceration on the peels for 7 days. It ages for 12-14 months in French oak barrels and then 4 months in bottle.

The Fonte della Selva of Banfi has an intense ruby red color. The smell has complex aromas of prune and blackberry’s jam together with spicy and leather hints. The taste has an important structure with integrated tannins. The taste has persistent aromas.
Suggested pairings with this great red wine
It is ideal for the greater occasions together with Tuscany meats. The service temperature is 16-18°C and it must be served in a wide and high wine glass.
