Vermentino di Sardegna "Mamaioa" DOC BIO is the first organic wine produced by Contini Winery. Mamaioa in the Sardinian language means "ladybug", an animal that is somewhat the symbol of organic farming in unspoiled nature. Thanks to the use of certified organic Vermentino grapes grown on clayey-calcareous soils in northern Sardinia, which benefit from a Mediterranean climate with mild winters and hot and ventilated summers, This Sardinian white wine symbolizes a real challenge for the Contini family: the desire to satisfy consumers who are particularly attentive to protecting the environment and therefore the production of wines with a low level of sulphites. This is how since 2015 the Company has obtained the Organic Certification.
Characteristics of this white wine from Contini Winery
On the organoleptic examination, this wine has a straw yellow color with golden reflections. The nose is rich, fruity and floral with hints of marjoram and thyme. In the mouth it is fresh and mineral, with persistent aromas and a pleasing structure.

It is an excellent wine to be combined with structured dishes based on fish but also with pasta dishes based on vegetables. The optimal serving temperature is 12ºC in a glass not very wide.
