CONTINI
Founded in 1898 by Salvatore Contini, it best represents the link between the wines produced and the historical and cultural roots of the territory of origin. Salvatore was in fact responsible for the enhancement of Vernaccia, which thanks to him obtained the Denomination of Controlled Origin; For this reason he was awarded the gold medal at the International Exhibition of Milan in 1912 for the production of Vernaccia di Oristano. With the passing of time, the Contini winery is consolidated also thanks to the acquisition of grapes of local producers that increase the production capacity and tries to catch the attention of a younger public and sensitive to environmental issues of environmental protection: from here comes the project Mamaioa, ladybug in Sardinian language, animal symbol of the organic and uncontaminated nature; they are therefore produced two wines, the Mamaioa Vermentino di Sardegna DOC and the Cannonau di Sardegna DOC, with grapes grown exclusively according to the requirements of integrated agriculture, with the use of natural substances. Those of Cantina Contini are therefore wines that bind culture, tradition and respect for nature.
