Syrah La Monaca "SALLIER DE LA TOUR" DOC Tasca d'Almerita

Produced with 100% Syrah grapes selected at the Sallier de La Tour estate, this Sicilian red wine from the Tasca d'Almerita winery comes from vineyards located at about 350 m usl: here the soils are clayey and well drained and the exposure to the north east guarantees a minimum incidence of summer heat and therefore a constant ripening. The manual harvest takes place in September and only leads to the harvest of the bunches with perfect ripeness. Fermentation takes place in steel at a controlled temperature while refinement involves the use of French oak barrels for a period of 18 months.

Characteristics of this Sicilian red wine

Upon organoleptic examination this wine shows an intense ruby red color with violet reflections. The olfactory notes involve aromatic herbs and balsamic notes while on the palate it is characterized by balance and persistence.

Suggested food pairings while tasting this Sicilian wine

Try it especially with meat-based main courses, cold cuts and aged cheeses. Serve at a temperature of 18-20 ° C in a large glass, in order to favor oxygenation.
