Produced with 100% Syrah grapes selected at the Sallier de La Tour estate, this Sicilian red wine from the Tasca d'Almerita winery comes from vineyards located at about 350 m usl: here the soils are clayey and well drained and the exposure to the north east guarantees a minimum incidence of summer heat and therefore a constant ripening. The manual harvest takes place in September and only leads to the harvest of the bunches with perfect ripeness. Fermentation takes place in steel at a controlled temperature while refinement involves the use of French oak barrels for a period of 18 months.
